Meet Bill Bosworth

I am still in the early stages of getting started with my web page, so I need to work on this section.  Hopefully someday soon, I will have more information input here.

...when I was very young, I would dream of traveling the world, probably from reading about history and people like Marco Polo and Columbus.  After high school, I tried to get on a ship to Australia but that didn't work out.  One summer during college, I hitch-hiked across the US and Canada.  But then I grew up and life moved on...with work, marriage, and children.  Then, in 2000, we sent our last child (Andrew) off to college.  Vicky, my wife, and some friends of ours - who also sent their youngest off to college - decided to celebrate that milestone.  So in 2001, we took a trip to Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe)....and we have been traveling ever since.  

We have taken one or two foreign trips a year plus a domestic trip or two a year.  I have now traveled to all 50 states which I consider a nice accomplishment.  Our focus has been on going to places that are less challenging if you are young (like Antarctica, Egypt, the Amazon, India, Tibet, Nepal, Burma, and Mongolia).  We have barely touched Europe.

I plan to make postings of many of the trips that we have taken with commentary and photos.  Time and the technology of this program will dictate how fast that gets done.
